This is our web 2.0 project that we will be working on.

Wiki Rubric Web 2.0 Project Student Name(s): _ You are to use the internet and gather information regarding the topic of your choice i.e., wikis, blogs, podcasts, youtube, secondlife, etc.This wiki should be informative and collaborative and explain your topic clearly and in an organized fashion.Go to the class wiki specified, and click on the left side for the one you have chosen to work on.Once you are in your group, you and your team members will share your results with your team members so that you will create a wiki that embellished the topic.(This wiki will be presented to class as a group). Grading Criteria below: 5 ptsA collaborative effort (as seen in the history) IF IT IS A GROUP WIKI. – 5 points Several participants have contributed. Wikis are collaborative. Each person brings their strengths and contributes things that they are good at to the project. (each student needs to post at least 3 times) 10 pts Visual appeal Graphics are used as needed and add to the message. Graphics are not distracting and used where needed to further explain a topic. If does not look cluttered. 10 pts Organization Information is organized in an easy to read way, headings, underlines are utilized to organize material. 10 pts Hyperlinks to sources An effective wiki hyperlinks sources and gives readers additional information about the topic. Because most people tend to not trust wikis (they don't know the authors), you must include a variety of hyperlinks to be considered an effective source of information. As people follow your hyperlinks, they will begin to look at the information you've linked to. They will learn that you are an authority and that you've "done your homework." Make sure that you have checked your hyperlinks and that they work. _ 15 pts Original, intelligent wording The effective wiki summarizes information but never copies it! (Cite your sources.) The wording is intelligent and meaningful and jargon is not used. Wikis may be read by a global audience and authors must keep that in mind. _ 15 pts Spelling/Grammar Punctuation (-1 each ) _ 35 pts Assignment criteria met. (At least 10 facts are included in wiki) TOTAL POINTS out of 100 pts Extra credit 5 pts Optional (unless assigned) but beneficial wiki traits __ • Multi-sensory tools are used The use of sound and/or video or podcast involves the wiki reader more through the increased engagement of hearing and sight.
